Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Scott is a beautiful hotel situated on a university campus with lovely gardens, within walking distance to the city center, or a quick bus ride using the bus stop right outside. The rooms feature modern bathrooms, and some offer the option to make hot drinks, though some guests have found the 'cozy' double rooms quite small. A highlight for many is the very good breakfast, and the hotel's restaurant is considered spectacular. Guests also appreciate the complimentary parking, although spaces directly by the hotel can be limited.

Wonderful stay!

clean rooms coffee machine
The staff was lovely, and the rooms were clean. The beds were comfy. It was a perk to have a complimentary coffee machine in the lounge for self-service. I will definitely be back, and I recommend this hotel.
The restaurant was closed, though I was not informed of that before arrival! I would have liked more clarity about dining options.

decent stay, some issues

friendly staff comfy bed convenient location raw vegetables small hotel uncomfortable areas
the staff was really friendly , i loved how they greeted everyone. the rooms were clean , the beds were super comfy. also , i really appreciated the location being close to the university housing area.
the christmas dinner was presented nicely , but the menu fell short. vegetables were nearly raw , that was not great. the website made the hotel seem much larger , it was actually smaller than expected. the common areas weren't very comfortable.

smaller room no elevator
the breakfast was delicious, .
The room i got felt smaller than advertised, a real squeeze with luggage. I felt a bit misled. also, the lack of an elevator was a surprise, especially lugging bags up several flights. it really made me rethink my packing strategy for future trips.

the room was super clean.
I was disappointed the bar shut early one evening. There was no prior notification of last orders. there was also no full-length mirror in the bathroom, inconvenient. a non-slip mat was also absent, which i consider a safety hazard.

the breakfast was good and had vegan options , including avocado toast and coconut yogurt. i also liked that the staff was courteous and friendly. the hotel's bar was cozy and enjoyable to visit later in the day.
parking was difficult because of the limited spots available. the dinner menu was limited , and the prices were high. the hotel is located on a university campus and the surrounding views are mostly concrete.
